Campagnolo Super Record Review
Campagnolo has been one of the leading cycling manufacturers for a great many years, creating products that are innovative in design and which feature the latest technologically advanced materials. The state of the art and newly updated Campagnolo Super record 11 Speed UT Compact Chainset 2011 is the perfect example why professional cyclists turn to Campagnolo for their cycling products. Many reviews has stated the group set is one of the best around, one of the best aspects of the groupset is its low weight, Campagnolo have managed to shave off around 100 grams meaning that the 2011 version weighs a mere 1900 grams in total.
Campagnolo have been able to do this by using unidirectional and multidirectional carbon fibre, titatanium and light alloy, however, whilst these extremely lightweight materials have guaranteed a very lightweight groupset, this unique combination and that carbon fibre Ultra-Hollow structural design maintains an unbelievable level of rigidity even during prolonged intensive sessions. The rigidity and lightness can also be found on the outer chainring, which has been specially designed to produce and transfer the optimum level of power transmission unfound on any other chainring and makes for a simple task when of climbing steep inclines. While the ESP (Enhanced Shifting Performance) technology of the groupset ensures that the shifts glides smotthly into place with speed and precision.
Additionally, the groupset features Campagnolo revolutionary sturdy ceramic ball bearing, which has been developed using their CULT (Ceramic Ultimate Level Technology) idea, this unique feature out performing the traditional steel ball bearing systems. The design of the groupset has been specially designed to be the most ergonomic, with the semi-axles permanently conjoined with the crankset arms to prevent any irritable contact with the ankle whilst pedalling. One of the best and most important features of the Super Record is Campagnolo ability to reduce the need for greasing, by placing a thermochemical treatment on every surface layer, our extensive testing showed that this treatment made the groupset extremely durable. Out tests showed no faults, making this highly attractive, high quality groupset the best available on today’s market.
